Ambulatory Informatics Analyst, It Clinical Ancillary Support

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

On-call required

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting software applications, and interfacing with end-users and other IT groups to identify and resolve application issues.

This position is on our Ambulatory EMR Informatics team and will support our Women's Health physicians and practices. On-call is required. Physician clinic operations and EMR experience in the Women's Health space is preferred. Experience in training medical office staff and providing at the elbow support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as interface between the user, vendor, and systems programming and operations.
  2. Ensure that IT applications are functional, available, and meet organization standards and end-user requirements. This includes testing software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects and verification that software functionality meets vendors and/or internal documentation. Determine root cause of application problems, coordinate solutions among appropriate teams, and document resolution.
  3. Devise improvements to current procedures and develop test models of possible future configurations. Create test plans & scripts.
  4. Perform workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
  5. Train the user and/or other IT staff in the interpretation of information systems features and functions, reports, system capabilities, and limitations
  6. Maximize IT investment by researching user requirements then educating users on relevant features and functions and limitation of system.
  7. Interface with user community to understand their security and business needs and implement solutions to accommodate them.
  8. Ensure that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
  9. Recommend standard policies and procedures for providing routine service.
  10. Coordinate operations of assigned applications (including interface processing) and assist with special processing (such as year-end). Assist in operations scheduling.
  11. Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

AS in computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years Information Systems or relevant functional area. Requires demonstrated understanding of technical computer operations in a client/server environment (for assigned applications). IT Project management experience preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

Professional/clinical licensure (RN, ARRT, etc.) may be required based on assigned applications.
