As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and qualified to carry out your duties with professionalism and care. You will interact with the public and store personnel, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or actions taken during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential threats to people and property within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a Level III Armed Certification if required by Texas state law.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
