Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, specializing in Early Childhood and PreK education. This role requires a dynamic educator with an Arkansas Special Education Teaching License to serve young learners in an itinerant capacity across multiple school sites, including ABC Centers and Head Start programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver inclusive classroom instruction and provide pull-out support tailored to individual student needs.
• Focus teaching efforts primarily during morning sessions, with afternoons dedicated to administrative duties, student testing, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation.
• Travel between various early childhood education settings within the area, adapting to diverse learning environments and student populations.
• Support and address the unique needs of students with autism through specialized strategies and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid Arkansas Special Education Teaching License.
• Experience in Early Childhood and Elementary School settings.
• Prior experience working with students diagnosed with autism is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule and travel between multiple locations.
• Strong organizational skills to balance teaching, administrative responsibilities, and collaborative communication with families and staff.

Location:

• Position is based in Gurdon, Arkansas, with travel to nearby early childhood education centers.
