The selected candidate will conduct investigations and research pertaining to this Agency's disciplinary program under Section 75 of the New York Civil Service Law and internal policies; conduct fact-finding interviews; prepare written and statistical reports; utilize computer systems to assist in the processing of investigations; maintain case records; serve legal process; give testimony at administrative proceedings; review referrals of allegations to determine appropriate action; review and maintain agency policies, procedures and regulations regarding employee discipline, and conduct extensive field work. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the fields of accounting, auditing, correction administration, criminal justice administration and planning, forensic science and security, or in a major operational area of the agency in which the appointment is to be made; or A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or Education and/ or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. May also require early morning or late evening hours.
