Join our team of highly motivated Massage Therapists, dedicated to our Five Star level of service at Art of Balance Wellness Spa in The Ritz Carlton, located in downtown Baltimore, MD! Talented, excited individuals with a desire to work in a serene spa environment and provide healing and relaxing services to guests need apply!

Massage Therapists with the Art of Balance Wellness Spa are expected to exude 5-Star service while providing guests with massage and body treatments. Massage Therapists are highly motivated and dedicated to providing the best service to their guests and providing a positive work environment to their team. 

Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the time allotted for the service; Ensure proper coverage by alternate therapist if unable to perform their shift. 

• Maintain guest confidentiality and observe guidelines set forth by HIPPA.

• Provide consistent and professional massage and body treatments that are in accordance with accepted certification practices and with spa protocols. 

• Be flexible with your schedule to support the needs of the spa. 

• Actively promote home care to guests. 

• Uphold the standards of sanitation as directed by the state’s board and spa’s policies. 

• Properly clean and restock rooms as required. 

• Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and according to the spa’s policies and procedures. 

• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality, teamwork environment. 

• Regularly attend, participate in staff meetings. 

• Communicate with management about any and all occurrences involving staff or guests. 

• Manage levels of professional stock and supplies.

• Properly care for equipment and use proper amount of products. 

• Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness. 

• Maintain a current and active state license. 

Required Experience & Education

• Current and active Maryland license.

• Minimum 2 years work experience in a Four-Diamond environment or equivalent spa environment.

• Perform side-lying pregnancy massage. 

• Possess superior deep tissue skills.

• Experience with Reflexology, hot stones, and body wraps is preferred. 

• Excellent communication and listening skills. 

• Basic computer knowledge. 

• Enthusiastic about excellent customer service. 

Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. 

• Ability to lift 5 lbs. 

• Occasionally lift or carry up to 15 lbs. 

• Indoor work environment. 

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights. 

• Must have reliable transportation.
