PeopleMed a division of All About People is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Oxford, Ohio.

Full Time | Night Shift
4x10s 6 months temp to fire full time.
9p - 7a Hourly Rate: $28-43/hr, DOE $4 shift differential on nights and $1 weekend- Rates at completely based off education and experience.
Location:110 N Poplar Street Wknd/Hol: Every other weekend rotation
Weekends are Friday night and Saturday night
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in various areas of the laboratory, including Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis.

The role involves operating and maintaining a variety of laboratory instruments and utilizing the laboratory computer system in the performance of duties. Strict adherence to established policies and procedures is required, and the position operates under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle the quantity of work
Ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of work
Receive, delegate, and complete complex assignments
Apply judgment and problem-solving skills
Maintain overall procedure knowledge and quality assurance knowledge, including documentation as needed
Qualifications:

Must:
Associate's Degree (Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
Must be a graduate of an approved MLT program and be certified by ASCP or equivalent or registry eligible
Up to 1 year of clinical experience as required by the MLT program at a hospital
