We are looking for a skilled Medical Payment Poster Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate posting of payments and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts based on remittance reports and corresponding charges.
• Download and process electronic remittance files from various platforms, ensuring all data is correctly applied.
• Handle zero-pay remittances by applying appropriate denial or reason codes.
• Verify that payments align with contract reimbursement terms and apply relevant contractual adjustments.
• Extract daily bank deposits and ensure funds are appropriately tracked and recorded.
• Maintain communication with the Director of Business Services and Billing Manager to provide daily updates on cash postings.
• Ensure the accuracy of daily deposit worksheets and reconcile posted transactions with downloaded data.
• Scan and securely store Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and denial documents in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with management and compliance teams to adhere to organizational and legal standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while safeguarding patient information.• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and electronic remittance processing.
• Strong understanding of medical payment posting and patient accounting practices.
• Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and denial codes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, including patient privacy and security requirements.
• Experience with CPT and ICD coding systems for accurate payment application.
• Ability to work with outpatient coding and billing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to provide updates and collaborate with team members.
