Summary

DLA Piper is seeking a mid-level associate to join its corporate group. This associate will be focusing primarily on working with emerging growth companies and the institutional investors that support them. The ideal candidate will have at least four years experience representing both institutional investors and issuers in venture capital financings, as well as experience with M&A transactions and advising emerging growth companies on a variety of day-to-day corporate matters.This position is based in the San Diego office with an in-office expectation of three days per week.

• Licensed to practice in California

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.

Essential Job Expectations

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Environment

• Hybrid - Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home

Pay Transparency

The firms expected hiring range for this position is $310,000- $425,000per year depending on the candidates geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidates experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
