Do you enjoy being physically active, spending time outside, and working with your hands? If so,come join our team as an Early Childhood Education Teacher. This position provides and implements a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom experience for children enrolled in ECEAP and Head Start programs. Scheduled to work 40 hours per week with a school year schedule. General schedule is Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM with occasional after-hours events.
The starting wage and maximum budgeted wage for this position is $21.94-22.93 per hour .
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or, an unrelated field with 30 quarter/20 semester credits in ECE related courses.
Preferred Education/Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or, a closely related field with 30 quarter/20 semester credits in ECE related courses. One year of paid or formal volunteer/internship experience with groups of children 3 to 5 years of age in an early childhood setting.
* Training plan may be considered depending on qualifications.
* Bi-lingual highly desired.
Knowledge of:
- Principles of child development and Early Childhood Curriculum planning.
- Principles of effective supervision.
- Current best practices in early childhood development and education.
Ability to:- Observe and assess children and set individualized goals.
- Prepare the classroom environment to meet the educational needs of each child.
- Work cooperatively with staff members and clients from varying backgrounds.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information
- Be technology proficient
