SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer (Mid) - U.S. Citizenship Required at CGI Overview CGI is seeking a S/4 HANA SAP ABAP Developer to support a SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract. As a Developer, you will be involved in every stage of the application lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will convert user requirements into Technical Design Specs and develop ABAP solutions aligned with the designs. You may assist other developers in maintainable development practices and during code reviews. This project uses Agile/Scrum methodology to quickly build solutions and you are encouraged to learn new technologies and suggest improvements to business processes. Success will come from strong technical skills, proactive problem-solving, quick learning, and excellent client communication. This position is located in Fairfax, VA with a hybrid model; in-office two days per week. Responsibilities ABAP development and performance analysis, testing, issue analysis, triage, debugging, job scheduling, execution, monitoring, and issue resolution Develop SAP ODATA Entities using SAP Gateway Service Builder, consumable by non-SAP applications via Participate in analysis of customer business operations to validate requirements and scope; suggest process improvements Convert business-critical requirements into SAP applications Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents; conduct unit, integration, and release testing Qualifications Required Qualifications Due to government contract requirements and/or clearance, US citizenship is required along with successful passing of CGI background check. Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance. 6+ years of SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience Must have S/4HANA experience Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non-SAP applications Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP BTP for development Proficiency with Web Services, Proxies, and APIs for system integration Extensive technical expertise in ABAP technologies, including Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS), BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Data Conversions Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills for ABAP programs Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to present technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations Self-motivated to learn new UI technologies with minimal supervision Desired qualifications / non-essential skills ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) Certifications in Application Development, SAP BTP and Agile areas Compensation A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $190,900.00.
