Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and review technical design packets in PLM, ensuring cost-effective and production-ready specs.
  • Execute design and fit intent from development through bulk production.
  • Lead fit sessions , drive consistency in size and fit, and maintain fit libraries and measurement standards.
  • Identify and resolve production, quality, and costing issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with vendors to negotiate costs and ensure adherence to brand standards.
  • Maintain how-to-measure manuals and provide guidance on pattern and grading issues.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced team members; review and provide feedback on their work.
  • Manage workflow and timelines for assigned product categories.
  • Participate in process improvements, cross-functional meetings, and team collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6–9+ years of relevant experience in technical design (will consider strong candidates with at least 6 years).
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and working knowledge of Photoshop .
  • Strong patternmaking and grading skills ; able to adjust patterns and ensure fit integrity.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, construction, finishes, trims, and fit techniques .
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical skills, including basic algebra and geometry for measurement and fit calculations.
  • Proven ability to mentor others , lead fit sessions, and make independent decisions.

Preferred:

  • Denim experience strongly preferred.
  • PLM system experience.
  • Background in working closely with overseas factories or vendors.
