Spanish and Portuguese Linguist Interpreter/Translation up to 25% travel Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States of America TS/SCI with Polygraph 310753 CAZI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Spanish and Portuguese language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. What You’ll Get to Do: This role enables you to utilize your linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will support CONUS and/or OCONUS operations as part of a team or in a lead role. Education Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4+ years of relevant experience) Testing Requirements: Approved testing in translation, speaking, listening, and reading Experience: Minimum of three years as a professional translator and/or interpreter within the past seven years, or a recently completed M.A. in translation or interpretation Work Location: WMA - split between two locations in the WMA area Language and Level: Spanish and Portuguese, up to 25% travel Position Responsibilities: Accurately translate reports and texts containing facts, implications, and nuances Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in translations Interpretation Skills: Consecutive interpretation skills required; rare need for simultaneous interpretation; understanding regional dialects beneficial Transcription Skills: Review audio and internet materials, transcribe accurately, and produce reports with excellent English writing skills Additional Skills: Summarize factual points and abstract concepts accurately Proficiency in MS Office and basic web research Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Tools: Microsoft Office & PowerPoint What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity and trust Autonomy and flexible time off Opportunities for growth and development Salary Range: $86,600 - $181,800, based on experience and other factors CAZI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
