Job Description
Cognizant is seeking a Splunk Administrator for a full-time opportunity in San Jose, CA.
Applicants must have valid US work authorization. The salary range for this role is between $91,000 and $107,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate.

Responsibilities:
• Provide 24x7 hands-on support for Splunk by managing and resolving assigned tickets in a timely manner.
• Execute standard and non-standard changes in customer environments across AWS and GCP by strictly following pre-defined runbooks.
• Utilize orchestration tools like Puppet and custom Python scripts to perform automated tasks.
• Handle customer migrations and perform work during scheduled maintenance windows, ensuring completion with accuracy.
• Participate in a rigorous approval and second-person review process to ensure the accuracy and safety of all changes.
• Troubleshoot and triage operational issues as outlined in runbooks, effectively escalating to incident commanders when necessary.
Qualifications:
• 5 plus years of proven experience in Technical SRE or Operations role.
• Over 5 years of experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Experience with orchestration tools preferably Puppet.
• Proficiency in a scripting language, preferably Python.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Experience working in a ticketing bases system like JIRA.
