Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator with experience in a job shop environment to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at fabricating and shaping parts from metals and composites, ensuring precision and quality in every project.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and shape parts such as tools and machine parts using metals and composites.
Select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, and attachments in the work area.
Use gauges and measuring devices to meet tolerance requirements.
Work with various metals including aluminum, stainless steel, cast steel, and regular A36.
Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and STICK methods.
Operate roller, brake, and press machines effectively.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Complete projects in a deadline-intensive environment, particularly in 'one-off' production settings.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in a job shop environment.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and STICK welding.
Ability to work with all types of metal.
Experience with roller, brake, and press machines.
Strong blueprint reading skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience in welding and fabricating aluminum, stainless steel, cast steel, and regular A36.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate controlled job shop, so be prepared for hot summers and cold winters. The role operates on a first shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The dress code is casual, allowing for work jeans and a t-shirt. The culture is that of a small, family-owned business, emphasizing good character and strong work ethics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
