HEALTH EDUCATOR

Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire one full-time, energetic Health Educator to serve Allegheny County partners from an office based in Pittsburgh or Turtle Creek, PA.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEALTH EDUCATOR

The Health Educator will support the implementation of the:

1. Teen Outreach Program (TOP) - a social-emotional learning curricula designed for middle and high school youth. | 2. Healthy Relationships Toolkit (HRT) - a behavioral change curriculum designed for middle school students. | 3. Additional programs related to public health as applicable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate and deliver education in a variety of settings.
• Ensure curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines
• Deliver engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
• Build relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness
• Maintain regular communication with program partners
• Initiate, lead, and provide technical assistance on supporting project based partner needs.
• Deliver indirect channels
• Timely complete all required documentation, tracking, and data entry.
• Provide high quality customer service
• Collaborate with other educators to share ideas
• Work/travel in any office as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work afterschool/weekend
• Proficient in Microsoft

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HEALTH EDUCATOR

Bachelor's degree in public health, education, nutrition or a related field | Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming | Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable | Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car. | Travel is required on a regular basis.
