Job Title: Registered Nurse - Antepartum
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Winston Salem, NC (onsite)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Work Hours: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
Total Weekly Hours: 36RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Minimum
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time traveler!
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Fetal monitoring; reading EFM strips. Must have antepartum experience, must have couplet care on mother baby unit.
Certs: AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, BLS, NRP, Intermediate EFM experience and course

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Telemetry; Prefer candidates with STRONG High risk antepartum experience, PICC, CVC and insulin drips.

JOB DETAILS:
36 Hours Only.
Target Ratios:1:3-5.
Couplet Care exp required: Couplets are 1:4-5.
Call Requirement: None.
Float Requirement: YES; Float possible to L&D(if qualified), Peds, and/or Mother Baby.
Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a high risk antepartum unit that has PICC and insulin drips.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: 18 Beds with ADC of 12. Antepartum patients from 4 weeks to term. Postpartum patients need telemetry or 2 grams of Magnesium. GYN surgeries. Readmission for surgery complications. Delivery of patients less than 20 weeks gestation. GYN/ONC surgeries. Fetal monitoring is required. Greatest need is for antepartum to read EFM strips.

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Will use Pyxis as well as EPIC Dimensions and CPN.

SCHEDULING TYPE: Unit will balance NM Needs

UNIT ORIENTATION: Must be available first week of contract for hospital and unit orientation.

SCRUBS: Navy, white or combo.
